INTRODUCTION
ZYRTEC 10MG contains Cetirizine, a member of the antihistamine group of medicines. It is specifically used to relieve symptoms associated with hay fever and other allergic conditions, such as sneezing, runny or itchy nose, and skin rashes like chronic nettle rash or idiopathic urticaria in adult and children over 6 years of age. Moreover, it functions by blocking the effects of histamine, which can be excessively produced during allergic reactions, resulting in unpleasant symptoms such as itchy or watery eyes, nasal congestion, sneezing, and skin irritations.
It is of utmost importance to adhere to the recommended dosage and instructions provided by your doctor. ZYRTEC 10MG should be taken with or without food. However, it is crucial to note that this medication is strictly contraindicated for children under the age of 6. Prior to initiating treatment, it is advised to inform your healthcare provider about any history of kidney disease, heart conditions, or liver problems. Additionally, if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, it is essential to consult with your doctor before taking this medication. Notably, common side effects may include somnolence (sleepiness), dizziness, headache, diarrhea, nausea, dry mouth, fatigue, pharyngitis, and cold-like symptoms in children.
In conclusion, ZYRTEC 10MG with its active ingredient Cetirizine offers relief from allergic symptoms. By effectively blocking histamine, it helps alleviate discomfort associated with hay fever, nasal allergies, and skin rashes.
