Daleron Cold 3 – Tablets for Cold & Flu Symptoms, Headache & Fever

What is Daleron Cold 3?

Daleron Cold 3 is a combined cold and flu medicine with analgesic, antipyretic, anti-oedematous and antitussive effects, produced in the form of coated tablets. It contains paracetamol, pseudoephedrine and dextromethorphan, working together to reduce the main symptoms of cold and flu.

How Daleron Cold 3 Works

Paracetamol is a non-narcotic analgesic with antipyretic, analgesic and anti-inflammatory properties. It does not cause salt and water retention and does not irritate the gastrointestinal mucosa. Pseudoephedrine irritates the receptors in the smooth muscles of the bronchi and heart, reducing swelling of the respiratory tract and improving breathing. Dextromethorphan reduces throat irritation associated with colds and helps to relieve dry cough.

Daleron Cold 3 Indications

Daleron Cold 3 is indicated for cold or flu, to reduce the main symptoms:

• Sore throat and muscle pain
• Headache and fever
• Cough and nasal congestion

Contraindications

Do not take Daleron Cold 3 if you have: hypersensitivity to any component of the product; renal or hepatic dysfunction; high blood pressure; or ischaemic heart disease. Do not give to children under 12 years of age. Safety in pregnant women has not been established — Daleron Cold 3 is not prescribed during pregnancy.

Dosage and Administration

The recommended dose is 2 tablets every 4–6 hours, with a maximum of 8 tablets per day. The duration of treatment is determined individually based on the severity of the condition and the patient’s state.

Drug Interactions

Do not take Daleron Cold 3 within 14 days of therapy with MAO inhibitors — combining increases the risk of hypertensive crisis, headaches, heart rhythm disturbances and fever. Avoid concomitant use with paracetamol or paracetamol-containing medicines, rifampicin, fluoxetine, methyldopa, haloperidol, anti-Parkinson or anti-epilepsy preparations, dihydroergotamine, barbiturates, or chloramphenicol. Metoclopramide, warfarin, colestyramine and domperidone should be taken alongside Daleron Cold 3 only under specialist guidance.

Side Effects and Overdose

Daleron Cold 3 extremely rarely provokes adverse reactions at recommended doses. After taking, irritability, nausea and dryness may occur; in rare cases, an increase in blood pressure is possible.

In case of overdose: paracetamol overdose causes nausea, vomiting and liver damage. Pseudoephedrine in high doses leads to overexcitation, increased blood pressure and rapid heartbeat. Dextromethorphan causes dizziness, impaired coordination, drowsiness, and hearing and vision problems.

Storage

Store in a dry place below 30°C, out of reach of children. Shelf life is five years from the date of manufacture.
