What is Voltaren Akti 12.5mg (Potassium Diclofenac)?

Voltaren Akti 12.5mg tablets contain potassium diclofenac, a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that works through anti-inflammatory, analgesic, and antipyretic mechanisms. Each convenient blister pack contains 10 film-coated tablets.

Voltaren Akti Indications

Voltaren Akti 12.5mg is used to relieve:

• Rheumatic pain and back pain
• Toothache (dental pain)
• Dysmenorrhoea (period pain)
• Fever, chills, and aches associated with flu and cold symptoms

Dosage and Administration

Take Voltaren Akti orally with a glass of water, preferably before meals. For adults and adolescents over 14 years: take one tablet initially; repeat every 4–6 hours if necessary. Maximum daily dose: three tablets.

For pain: do not use for more than five days without medical advice. For fever: do not exceed three days without medical advice. Seek medical attention if symptoms worsen.

Contraindications

Do not use Voltaren Akti 12.5mg if you:

• Are under 14 years of age
• Are hypersensitive to any component, or have experienced allergic reactions to diclofenac, ibuprofen, or acetylsalicylic acid
• Have been diagnosed with heart disease, cerebrovascular disease, or peptic ulcer disease
• Have blood in your stool or black stools
• Have severe renal or hepatic failure
• Are in the third trimester of pregnancy or breastfeeding

If you are pregnant in the first or second trimester, consult your doctor before use.

Possible Side Effects

Some individuals may experience: palpitations, shortness of breath, stomach pain, bloody stool or vomiting, allergic reactions, chest pain, headache, skin reactions, swelling, changes in urine, yellowing of the skin or eyes, bleeding, bruising, and increased sensitivity to light.
