What is Sebiprox 1% Shampoo?

Sebiprox 1% Shampoo contains ciclopirox olamine as its active ingredient, which belongs to a group of medicines called antifungals. It is specifically formulated to treat seborrhoeic dermatitis — a chronic skin condition characterised by scaly, red, and itchy patches on oily areas of the skin, particularly the scalp.

What is Seborrhoeic Dermatitis?

Seborrhoeic dermatitis is a chronic skin disease presenting as red patches covered with white or yellowish dandruff on oily areas such as the scalp and face. Symptoms typically include white dandruff and itching, and lesions often appear in flares.

How Sebiprox 1% Works

The active ingredient ciclopirox olamine in Sebiprox 1% acts as an antifungal agent, targeting the underlying cause of seborrhoeic dermatitis to provide fast and effective relief from scalp scaling, redness, and itching.

How to Use Sebiprox 1% Shampoo

Shake the bottle before use and remove the lid. Insert the sprayer into the mouth and press it three times to dispense approximately 250 microlitres of the product. It is recommended to use Sebiprox 1% shampoo two to three times a week for a duration of four weeks. On non-Sebiprox shampoo days, a mild shampoo can be used instead.

Composition of Sebiprox 1%

Active substance: ciclopirox olamine. Other ingredients include lauril ether sodium sulfate, cocamidopropyl betaine, disodium phosphate dodecahydrate, and dipropylene glycol (as an excipient in the perfume).

Precautions and Storage

If Sebiprox 1% Shampoo is accidentally swallowed, the ingredients are not known to be harmful in small quantities. If a large amount is ingested, seek advice from a doctor or pharmacist. In case of contact with the mouth, rinse immediately with water.

Store in a dry place, out of reach of children, within the recommended temperature range.
