What is Voltaren Emulgel 11.6mg/g?

Voltaren Emulgel contains diclofenac sodium, a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) in a topical gel formulation. It is used to relieve pain in the wrists, elbows, knees, feet or ankles caused by arthritis, strains, sports injuries or other types of injury. Voltaren Emulgel works by decreasing the hormones responsible for causing swelling and pain.

How to Use Voltaren Emulgel

Rub Voltaren Emulgel (Diclofenac Sodium) directly into the skin at the affected area. A 2 cm strip is recommended for covering an area up to 200 square centimetres. Ask your doctor how often to apply it — patients are usually told to apply 3 to 4 times per day, but always follow your doctor’s instructions.

Precautions

Before using Voltaren Emulgel, always disclose to your doctor:

• If you are pregnant or breast-feeding
• If you have any allergies
