What is Bepanthen Eye? Sodium Hyaluronate and Dexpanthenol Moisturising Eye Drops

Bepanthen Eye moisturising eye drops contain two active substances: sodium hyaluronate (0.15%) and dexpanthenol (2%). After application, Bepanthen Eye forms a sterile, preservative-free, viscoelastic, transparent protective layer on the cornea.

How Bepanthen Eye Works

Sodium hyaluronate (the sodium salt of hyaluronic acid) forms a uniform, stable, long-lasting protective layer on the epithelial layer of the eye without disturbing vision. Dexpanthenol (provitamin B5), with its ability to bind large amounts of water, moisturises and protects the eyes and enhances the moisture-retaining ability of sodium hyaluronate. Together, sodium hyaluronate (which stabilises the tear film) and dexpanthenol (which nourishes and soothes) protect and moisturise the eye surface and make it slippery.

Bepanthen Eye drops reduce the discomfort associated with:

• Mechanical stress, such as from hard or soft contact lenses or from eye diagnostic procedures
• Environmental stress, such as air conditioning, wind, cold, dryness, or air pollution such as cigarette smoke
• Eye strain due to intense viewing, such as working with a computer, microscope, or prolonged driving

How to Use Bepanthen Eye

Tear off the single-dose container. Do not damage the container. To open, turn the flat end (do not pull). With your head tilted back slightly, gently pull the lower eyelid away from the eye, look upwards, and add one drop to the conjunctival sac. Instil 3–5 times a day. Slowly close your eyes and distribute the liquid evenly over the surface of the eye. If discomfort does not decrease or increases, consult an ophthalmologist.

1 ml contains: sodium hyaluronate (0.15%), dexpanthenol (2%), sodium chloride, sodium citrate, citric acid, water for injections.
