Ilon Abszess-Salbe is a specialist ointment for patients suffering from abscesses, boils, carbuncles, panaritium, and sweat gland inflammation. Its active substance complex of natural larch turpentine and purified turpentine oil vigorously draws out pus, has antibacterial properties, and inhibits inflammation, producing an effective analgesic effect.
How Ilon Abszess-Salbe Works
Essential oils derived from rosemary, eucalyptus, and thyme activate the maturation of purulent nodules, promote complete evacuation of pus, and ensure excellent skin tolerance.
Active Ingredients
- Larch turpentine (54 mg per application)
- Purified turpentine oil (72 mg per application)
- Rosemary oil, eucalyptus oil, thyme oil, and thymol
Other Ingredients
White petrolatum, colophonium, yellow wax, stearin palmitic acid, oleic acid, polysorbate 20 (Tween 20), and chlorophyll paste.
How to Use Ilon Abszess-Salbe
Always use Ilon Abszess-Salbe as directed by your doctor. The recommended dosage depends on the size of the inflamed area.
- Clean and dry the affected area and surrounding skin
- Apply a thin layer (approximately 2–3 cm) to the affected area
- Cover with a bandage
- Wash your hands after applying to prevent spreading infection to other areas or to others
- If treating a skin infection, cover with a clean gauze bandage, especially at night, using a fresh, unused bandage each time
Skin should begin improving within a few days, though complete healing may take up to four weeks. Acute toxic symptoms are not expected with an overdose of this medication.
