DOLMEN is presented in containers of 10 effervescent tablets, in an aluminiumtube. The tablets are round, white and do not have any marks. Acetyl salicylic acid belongs to the analgesic, antipyretic and anti inflammatory non steroid group of medicines, codeine phosphate is a light opiate and ascorbic acid is vitamin C. Dolmen is indicated for the symptomatic relief of occasional light or moderate pain, such as headaches, dental pain, menstrual pain and back ache. It is also indicated for the treatment of non rheumatic inflammation and the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis, juvenile arthritis, osteoarthritis and rheumatic fever. It is also indicated for fevers.

Product Description:

Dolmen is a reliable medication available in containers of 10 effervescent tablets, conveniently packaged in an aluminum tube. The tablets are round, white, and devoid of any marks. Belonging to the analgesic, antipyretic, and anti-inflammatory non-steroid group of medicines, Dolmen contains acetyl salicylic acid, codeine phosphate, and ascorbic acid (vitamin C). It is specifically indicated for providing symptomatic relief from occasional light or moderate pain, such as headaches, dental pain, menstrual pain, and backaches. Additionally, it is effective in treating non-rheumatic inflammation, rheumatoid arthritis, juvenile arthritis, osteoarthritis, and rheumatic fever. Dolmen also aids in reducing fever.

BEFORE TAKING DOLMEN

Before using product, please note the following precautions:
  • If you have a history of gastric ulcers, repeated duodenal or gastric discomfort, avoid taking Dolmen.
  • Individuals who have experienced asthmatic reactions (e.g., difficulty breathing, wheezing, bronchospasms) or allergies to anti-inflammatories, acetyl salicylic acid, analgesics, or the colorant tartrazine should refrain from using Dolmen.
  • Do not use it if you are allergic to codeine phosphate, ascorbic acid, or any other component of this medicine.
  • If you have asthma, rhinitis, uticaria, or a similar condition, consult your healthcare provider before using it.
  • Dolmen should be avoided by individuals with haemophilia or other blood coagulation problems that increase the risk of internal hemorrhages.
  • If you are currently undergoing treatment with oral anticoagulants (drugs for blood clotting), Dolmen is contraindicated.
  • If you have kidney and/or liver problems (renal and/or hepatic insufficiency), consult your doctor before using it .
  • it should not be used by individuals with renal stone fragmentation accompanied by oxaluria or aciduria, or those with normal urinary pH.
  • Patients with haematic alterations such as glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase deficiency, haemocromatosis, sideroblastic anaemia, or talassemia should avoid using Dolmen.
  • If you have respiratory insufficiency, it is not suitable for you.
  • Individuals below the age of 16 should not use Dolmen, as acetyl salicylic acid has been associated with Reye’s Syndrome, a rare but serious illness.
  • Dolmen should be avoided by those with bile disorders.
  • If you are in the third trimester of pregnancy, Dolmen is contraindicated.

Be especially cautious if you:

  • Have reduced kidney, heart, or liver function, cranial injuries, hyperthyroidism, prostatic hypertrophia, suprarenal insufficiency, blood clotting disorders, or are undergoing anticoagulant treatment. Consult your doctor before using it, as certain medications can interact and lead to unwanted effects (see ‘Use of other medicines’).
  • Have a history of rhinitis or hives. Prior consultation with your healthcare provider is advisable.
  • Have a history of gallstones or gout. It is important to consult your doctor before using it.
  • Are diabetic. Dolmen contains ascorbic acid, which may affect glucose tests, leading to inaccurate results in urine glucose tests using reactive strips.
  • Have high intracranial pressure or have experienced cranial trauma. It can increase cerebrospinal fluid pressure, and hence caution is advised.
  • Intend to continue Dolmen treatment beyond 10 days. In such cases, consult your doctor.
  • Regularly consume alcohol (three or more drinks per day), as this can potentially cause liver damage and increase the risk of digestive hemorrhage.
  • Undergo blood, urine, or other diagnostic tests. Inform your healthcare provider that you are taking Dolmen, as it may alter the test results.
  • Are scheduled for surgical interventions while on continued Dolmen administration. Inform your doctor or dentist beforehand.
  • Have a tendency towards addiction or substance abuse, as prolonged use of Dolmen, which contains codeine, can lead to dependence.
  • Should not administer Dolmen systematically for preventing possible discomfort caused by vaccines.

Taking with Food and Drink:

To minimize the risk of stomach hemorrhage, take it after meals or with some food. If you regularly consume alcohol (three or more drinks per day, including beer, wine, or spirits), be cautious when using Dolmen, as it may increase the chances of stomach bleeding.

Pregnancy:

If you are pregnant or suspect you might be, consult your doctor before taking it. The use of Dolmen during the first and second trimesters of pregnancy can be dangerous for the fetus or embryo and must be closely monitored by a healthcare professional. it should not be taken during the third trimester.

Breastfeeding:

Consult your doctor or pharmacist before using any medication while breastfeeding. Dolmen should not be administered while breastfeeding, as it is excreted in breast milk.

Driving and Using Machines:

Important Information about Dolmen’s Components:

How to Take:

  1. Dissolve one effervescent tablet in half a glass of water.
  2. Wait for the tablet to dissolve completely and for the effervescence to subside before consuming.
  3. Take Dolmen after meals or with some food for best results.

Oral Administration:

For adults and individuals over 16 years of age, the recommended dosage is one effervescent tablet every 4-6 hours, up to a maximum of eight tablets per day if necessary.
