ACC Long 600mg effervescent tablets contain acetylcysteine, a mucolytic agent that reduces mucus viscosity by dissolving its components and facilitating expectoration. ACC Long is prescribed for adults and adolescents aged 14 years and above.
ACC Long Indications

- Influenza
- Acute bronchitis or tracheitis

Contraindications
ACC Long is not recommended for: pregnant or lactating women; persons with gastric or duodenal ulcers, haemoptysis, pulmonary haemorrhage, or hypersensitivity to acetylcysteine or any auxiliary component.
Precautions
Use with caution if you have gastric or duodenal ulcers (outside the acute phase), varicose veins of the oesophagus, adrenal gland diseases, bronchial asthma, hepatic or renal failure, or in children under 2 years (only for vital indications). Do not use ACC Long with antitussive drugs, as suppression of the cough reflex may lead to dangerous mucus stagnation. Acetylcysteine is not compatible with proteolytic enzymes and antibiotics such as tetracycline, erythromycin, amphotericin B, cephalosporins and penicillins.
Side Effects
Rarely, ACC Long may cause: headaches, tinnitus, stomatitis, skin rash, urticaria, pruritus, bronchospasm, or pulmonary bleeding. Some individuals may experience diarrhoea, heartburn, nausea, vomiting, tachycardia, or low blood pressure.
